UM Motorcycles
United Motors (UM) was founded in Colombia in 1951, a distributing company that reportedly brought cars, trucks, and heavy equipment from Japan and the United States to Latin America. The company also brought motorcycles made by China and Taiwan manufacturers to the same market, after forging agreements with those countries in the early 1990s. This is after UM saw a growing demand for motorcycles worldwide.
UM is now based in Miami, Florida, and has been marketing itself as an American brand since the 2000s. The brand entered the local market in 2017 through the Autohub Group.
The local UM lineup is composed of the Duramax UX, Max XL 125, Max ZN 125, Max ZR, Nitrox, Xtreet 230 R, RC 125, 140 R, and 180 R, Flash, Powermax, Matrix, Renegade Sport S, Duty S, Duty Ace, and Commando; Hypersport, DSR II, X, and SM.
