In March 2019, Bikerbox, Inc. announced its agreement with Piaggio Group, to be the exclusive distributor of Aprilia bikes in the Philippines. Aside from that, this multi-brand company will also take care of the Italian motorbike's after-sales service in Paranaque City.
Globally, the Italian marque Aprilia is one of the most successful motorcycle brands in Europe. Standing proud in the global motorcycle scene for over 70 years, Aprilia is famous in the world of racing circuits with more than 50 world championships thanks to its aggressive-styled big bikes, bundled up with top-notch electronics and outstanding prowess on the track.
Going back to its roots, Aprilia was initially a bicycle production factory located at Noale, Italy founded by Cavaliere Alberto Beggio. His son, Ivano Beggio took over the company in 1968. The first produced Aprilia mopeds were named Colibri, Daniela, and Packi. The Italian brand then later built a motocross bike in 1970 named Scarabeo, which had 50cc and 125cc versions.
The company started its international racing in the Motocross World Championship, competing in the 125cc class from 1976 to 1981 with its top result in fifth place in 1979 season. From then on, the Italian marque continues its success by consistently joining other motorcycle sports like the prestigious Grand Prix, World Superbike, and MotoGP.
The popularity of Aprilia has reached the country, all thanks to Bikerbox, Inc. The famous Italian models are now available in the local market such as the super sport bikes namely, RSV4 1100 Factory, RSV4 RR, and RSV4 RF. The Italian brand also features naked bikes such as Shiver 900 and its top-of-the-lineTuono 4V 1100 Factory. There’s also a supermoto bike dubbed as Dorsoduro 900.
