2024 MV Agusta Dragster 800 P1,300,000 - P1,750,000

MV Agusta Dragster 800 Overview

The Dragster 800 was initially introduced as part of the Brutale series in 2014. It was named as the Brutale Dragster 800, until MV Agusta decided to make it an independent model. Although the frame was based on the Brutale, the rear bodywork was modified to accommodate a larger tire size. The current-generation Dragster 800, which arrived in the Philippines earlier in 2019, has come a long way since the first iteration. It now has a longer wheelbase and improved trail—even the position of the engine was revised to achieve better torsional rigidity. For the Philippine market, it is made available in three variants, specifically being composed of the RR, Rosso, and RC trims. Prices range from P1,300,000 to P1,500,000.

The MV Agusta Dragster is classified as a streetfighter mainly due to being taller and more upright than naked bikes. Back in its initial launch, the Dragster 800 was able to put out a promising performance in terms of sales. It was able to exceed MV Agusta’s sales predictions by three times. In the Philippines, there are three variants of the Dragster 800, which are the Dragster 800 RR, Dragster 800 RR Pirelli, and the top-range Dragster 800 RC.

The core of the machine is a 16.5-liter liquid-cooled, four-stroke DOHC 798cc engine that can churn 140 hp and 87 Nm of torque. This setup comes with a 6-speed manual transmission.

Among its notable safety features are a full set of ABS and traction control system, slipper clutch, steering damper, and an engine immobilizer. Meanwhile, convenience and technology include a full set of LED lighting systems, pass switch, quick shifter, and digital display screen. Like the Brutale, it also has four riding modes, which are Normal, Rain, Sport, and Custom.
