Launched in the Philippines in 2018, the Kawasaki W175 is the newest member of the "W" family. Going back years ago, Kawasaki’s original W, the 1966 W1, had gained recognition worldwide for having the largest displacement in its segment. This success became the brand’s first step in manufacturing large-displacement motorcycles. Now, embracing the W heritage, the W175 commuter bike aims to continue this legacy with its great performance without losing its retro style at a sticker price of P130,000.
The Kawasaki W175 stays true to its origin with its round headlight, classic analog-style speedometer, along with trip meter, odometer, indicator lamps, and a “W” emblem placed on the speedometer face. For a comfortable and safe ride, this naked commuter bike is integrated with telescopic front suspension and rear swing-arm suspension with two shocks, as well as front single disc brake and rear drum brake.
At the heart of the Kawasaki W175 is an air-cooled 4-stroke, SOHC 177cc gasoline engine that can churn out a maximum output of 13 hp and 13 Nm of torque. This power mill is then connected to a 5-speed manual transmission.
