New BMW F 900 GS and F 800 GS officially launched in the Philippines
The new BMW F 900 GS Style GS Trophy undoubtedly stole the spotlight.
The BMW GS has cemented its reputation as the epitome of limitless adventure, setting the benchmark in the realm of adventure bikes. Previously represented by the R 1250 GS as BMW's top-tier model, the introduction of the R 1300 GS as the new flagship necessitates a refresh for the mid-sized GS bikes.
BMW has seamlessly executed this transition by unveiling the F 900 GS, effectively replacing its predecessor, the F 850 GS. Alongside, BMW has introduced the F 800 GS, designed as an entry-level option in the GS lineup, boasting alloy wheels and a beginner-friendly seat height of only 760mm. Continuing its tradition, the F 900 GS shares its engine across three distinct variants: the BMW F900 GS Adventure, BMW F900 GS Style Trophy, and the BMW F800 GS Style Sport.
Both the F 800 GS and the F 900 GS are equipped with an 895cc twin-cylinder gasoline engine, delivering a maximum power output of 87hp and 90.7Nm of torque, peaking at 6,750rpm. BMW emphasizes that the engine has undergone retuning and received a revised counterbalancer to enhance its performance capabilities.
BMW's tech pack undoubtedly steals the spotlight on these bikes, featuring essential components such as ABS, traction control, and cruise control. Familiar to BMW enthusiasts, the instrument cluster includes smartphone connectivity for seamless integration. Additionally, the ConnectedRide Cradle remains available as standard, ensuring riders stay connected and informed throughout their journey.
When it comes to pricing and availability, BMW offers a range of options to cater to various preferences and budgets. The top-tier F 900 GS Adventure comes with a price tag of P1,295,000, offering riders an enhanced adventure experience with its robust features and capabilities. Meanwhile, the BMW F900 GS Style Trophy, priced at P1,135,000, presents a compelling option for riders seeking a balance of style and performance.
For enthusiasts looking for a more accessible entry into the GS lineup, the BMW F800 GS Style Sport is available at P995,000, providing an enticing package of agility and versatility at a more affordable price point. With these options, BMW ensures that riders can find the perfect adventure companion to suit their needs and preferences.
