Honda continues to strengthen its foothold in the ever-popular middleweight segment with the unveiling of the updated NC750X road trail bike for 2025. This segment has been gaining traction among riders seeking versatility, fuel efficiency, and performance in a manageable package. With updates to styling, technology, and mechanical refinements, the NC750X positions itself as a formidable contender in this competitive category.

Launched in 2012 as the NC700X, the model has undergone steady evolution over the years. The latest iteration keeps the 745cc inline-twin engine, producing 58.6 hp and 69 Nm of torque, now compliant with Euro 5+ standards. With a claimed fuel consumption of just 3.53 L/100 km, the NC750X boasts an impressive range of over 400 km from its 14.1-liter fuel tank.

On the tech front, the bike features a 5-inch TFT display with Honda RoadSync connectivity, complemented by an improved DCT dual-clutch transmission for smoother low-speed handling. Riders can choose from four riding modes—Sport, Rain, Standard, and User—backed by HSTC torque control for added versatility.

Design tweaks include a refreshed LED front light, new bodywork made from sustainable Durabio resin and recycled materials, and an updated 23-liter front trunk. A dual 296mm front brake disc setup enhances stopping power, and the redesigned 17-inch rims reduce weight for better handling. Despite the upgrades, the bike maintains a modest wet weight of 226 kg.

With the growing appetite for middleweight adventure-tourers in the Philippines, the updated NC750X would be a strong contender for local riders. Its fuel efficiency, tech features, and practicality make it particularly appealing for urban commutes and weekend getaways alike. Given Honda's existing portfolio in the country, bringing the 2025 NC750X could bolster its presence in the mid-size adventure bike market.

Honda's commitment to the middleweight category is already evident, with models like the CB500X and the Transalp XL750 available locally. The NC750X, positioned between these two offerings, could fill a crucial gap, appealing to riders looking for a balance of performance and affordability.

While an official announcement for the Philippine market has yet to be made, Honda's strong local following and the NC750X's updated features make it a natural fit. Would you like to see this versatile touring bike on Philippine roads?
