HJC launches new i100 modular helmet
It features tons of upgrades when compared to its predecessor.
Here at MotoDeal.com.ph, we love HJC helmets. Nearly all of us here rock one or more HJC lids, and we can certainly vouch for the comfort, safety, and style the Korean manufacturer brings to the game. But hey, don’t take our word for it, several other publications and reviewers see HJC as one of the top-tier helmet makers in the world. It does, after all, have a vast array of helmets that suit a variety of riding styles, budgets, and styling preferences.
For the 2022 riding season, HJC is stepping up its game in the modular helmet segment with the new i100. You may be familiar with the i90, which was already an impressive helmet. Now, the i100 takes what’s good about the i90, and builds on it with enhanced styling, double-homologation, and improved comfort. First and foremost, from a styling perspective, the i100 employs a boxy, muscular design, giving it an aggressive aesthetic. Its double-homologation safety certification means it’s safe to hit the road with the helmet both in the open and closed position.
When it comes to comfort, HJC has enhanced the helmets noise and wind buffeting properties by fitting it with a channel ventilation system. This setup makes it easy for you to toggle various vents from open to closed, in order to achieve the perfect balance between a cool and quiet ride. The HJC i100 comes standard with a Pinlock anti-fog film, and a drop-down visor making it easy for you to ride in all types of weather, any time of the day or night. Just like HJC’s other lids, the i100 is eyewear compatible, thanks to grooves in the inner liner. It secures firmly on your head with a quick-release micrometric buckle.
The HJC i100 is compatible with HJC’s proprietary intercom systems, the Smart 10B and 20B. It can, however, also receive communicators from third-party brands without issue. It’s available in a total of six colors ranging from white, gray, and black, and is sized from XS all the way to 2XL. As for pricing, it has been pegged at 319 Euros, translating to around P18,100.
