Ducati releases new color option for the Panigale V2
It’s nice to see another non-red Panigale.

Ducatis and the color red go hand in hand, especially for a Panigale. Most of the sportbikes that roll out of Ducati’s Borgo Panigale factory are almost always clad in its famous Rosso red livery. As the saying goes, for a Panigale or a Streetfighter, “You can get any color you want, as long as it’s red,”. However, this saying isn’t entirely true — at least not always. We have seen black Monsters in the past, a white 959, and its Scrambler lineup is represented by the color yellow more than its Rosso red livery.

Nowadays, Ducati has been trying to be a little more playful with the new liveries for its more recent motorcycles. Just last week, they released a new Graffiti livery to add to its Hypermotard lineup. This time, a new color option was added to the Panigale V2 and now, you have the option of getting in its Star White Silk livery, with still a few red accents at least.

The Panigale V2 was first introduced in November 2019 as Ducati’s new entry-level model in its famous sportbike lineup. It is powered by a Desmodromic 955 cc Testastretta L-Twin engine that’s capable of churning out a hefty 150 hp and 102 Nm of torque. When it was first released, only a lone color option was available, you guessed it right — Rosso Red. If you’re a fan of the Panigale V2 but not so much with the color that it comes with, then look no further. Its new matte metallic white paint scheme with some strategically placed red accents on its wheels, air intake vents, and air deflectors still makes the Panigale quite a looker. A bigger Panigale V2 badge is clad on its fairing inspired by the Ducati Corse bikes we all love. Pramac Racing Team rider Francesco Bagnaia had the occasion to test out the new Panigale V2 “White Rosso” at the Misano World Circuit ‘Marco Simoncelli’.
The new livery, so white, is very beautiful and different from the usual. Despite being a street bike, it surprised me how much speed it can have when cornering. It is a fun, very stable and very sincere bike that allows you to go fast, safely, without becoming tired, while having a very strong and decisive character and personality,

The new Star White Silk or “White Rosso” Ducati Panigale V2 is set to be available in the USA starting August of 2020. We haven’t received any word if the new color option will come as a premium or would be priced similarly with its original Ducati Red color option. Neither have received any word from Ducati Philippines if we will be seeing this new color option in their showrooms anytime soon. Should they decide to do so, we’ll be sure to keep our eyes peeled and ears open for any more updates.
