Check out CFMOTO's new Papio XO-2 mini-bike
The scrambler-style mini-bike was unveiled in China.

In recent years, several manufacturers have introduced new mini-bikes to the market. A significant portion of these mini-bikes are produced by the Chinese brand CFMOTO, which has launched its Papio range of mini-bikes. The initial offering, the ST Papio 125, is very similar to the Honda Grom, as its appearance and capabilities closely resemble those of Honda's small stunt bike. However, subsequent versions of the Papio have adopted a distinct design approach.
Here in the Philippines, the CFMOTO ST Papio 125 is offered at an extremely attractive price. In China, however, CFMOTO has more iterations of the mini-bike such as the Papio XO-1 we talked about previously. To add to this, the brand has released the Papio XO-2, a scrambler-style iteration based on the same mini-bike platform. The bike maintains the dual headlight design but abandons the partially enclosed fairing for a more scrambler-inspired appearance. Additionally, it is fitted with robust knobby tires mounted on small alloy wheels and features an inverted front fork and a rear monoshock that can be adjusted for preload.

In terms of performance, the Papio is expected to be an enjoyable ride. Similar to its two older counterparts, the XO-2 is equipped with a 126cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected, single-cylinder engine capable of producing 9.4 horsepower. It is also equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox and can reach a top speed of 100 kilometers per hour.
At present, CFMOTO only offers the Papio XO series in China. However, the company is anticipated to reveal the bike's global availability in 2023. When we previously talked about the launch of the Papio XO-1, we were eagerly awaiting CFMOTO Philippines to release the retro-style cafe racer here in the Philippines. Needless to say, we certainly hope that the Papio XO-2 will make its way to the local market, too.
