BMW brings big updates to 2025 F 900 R naked bike

BMW Motorrad has unveiled the 2025 iteration of its F 900 R roadster, reinforcing its position as the brand’s most accessible big-displacement naked bike. Designed to bridge the gap between smaller-capacity models and BMW’s flagship roadsters, the F 900 R offers an enticing combination of performance, tech, and value.

At the heart of the updated F 900 R is its 895cc inline twin, now compliant with Euro 5+ standards. Delivering 105 hp at 8,500 rpm and 93 Nm at 6,750 rpm, it maintains the punchy character associated with its 270/450° firing order. Riders seeking an extra edge can opt for a new Akrapovič Sport silencer, available as an accessory.

BMW has also enhanced the bike's ride dynamics. In addition to the standard Rain and Road riding modes, a new Dynamic mode offers sharper throttle response and sportier handling. Advanced rider aids, including DTC traction control, MSR (engine drag torque control), ABS Pro, and DBC (dynamic brake control), come as standard, reflecting BMW’s commitment to rider safety and control.

The F 900 R receives significant updates to its chassis, starting with a fully adjustable 43mm inverted fork, now capable of tuning spring preload, compression, and rebound. The 2025 model also gets redesigned aluminum alloy wheels, shedding 1.8 kg for better agility, while a lighter battery trims another 800 grams, bringing the total wet weight to 208 kg.

Ergonomics have been fine-tuned for a sportier riding posture, with handlebars moved forward and footrests shifted slightly back. A slimmer rear subframe and a sleek license plate holder with integrated turn signals complete the bike’s refreshed aesthetic.

Available in three striking color options—blue/black, Triple Black, and Sport white/blue—the F 900 R blends minimalist roadster design with modern finishes. Customization is a focal point, with options like a higher sports seat, milled parts, and soft luggage.
