Benelli unveils the all-new TRK 700 and TRK 700X in Europe for the equivalent of P471,000
The capable middleweight adventure bikes command quite an attractive price tag.
Benelli has established its dominance in the international motorcycle industry and is now recognized as a formidable player. As an Italian brand under the ownership of the Chinese motorcycling conglomerate Qianjiang, it benefits from substantial resources, positioning it as one of China's prominent and respected players. With the launch of the TRK 700 platform, the brand is making a powerful entry into the middleweight ADV segment.
The new Benelli TRK 700 appears to have what it takes to compete effectively against the more established players in the middleweight ADV segment. Sporting an all-new 698cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, parallel-twin engine, producing 70 horsepower and 85 Nm of torque, the bike boasts significant power. Its steel trellis frame, utilizing the engine as a stressed member, not only reduces weight but also enhances rigidity, leading to improved handling both on and off-road. With these features, the TRK 700 presents a compelling option for adventure riders seeking a potent and agile middleweight adventure motorcycle.
Both the Benelli TRK 700 and TRK 700X share similar suspension hardware, featuring 50-millimeter inverted front forks with 140 millimeters of travel and a preload adjustable rear monoshock. Braking is handled by dual 320-millimeter front disc brakes and a single 260mm disc brake at the rear. However, the two bikes differ in their wheel setups, with the TRK 700 suited for road use, while the TRK 700X is designed for more rugged terrain with its wire-spoked wheels. Both models come with 19-inch front wheels and 17-inch rear wheels.
Both the Benelli TRK 700 and TRK 700X come with contemporary technology that is commonly found in this category. Notably, they feature a five-inch full-color TFT display with Bluetooth smartphone pairing capability. For added comfort, heated grips and saddles can be optionally installed from the factory. The motorcycles are equipped with full-LED lighting, a tall windscreen, and updated bodywork that bears a resemblance to the styling of the previous version of the Ducati Multistrada. These modern features enhance the overall riding experience of both models.
Benelli has revealed its plans to introduce the TRK 700 and TRK 700 X in the European market, while a launch date for other regions remains pending. Intriguingly, both models have been priced at 7,740 Euros, approximately equivalent to P471,000, creating a uniform price point for both variants. The competitive pricing could position the Benelli TRK 700 series as one of the most attractive and sought-after options for adventure riders worldwide.
