When is the best time to buy a new motorcycle?
The answer depends on a variety of things.

Buying a motorcycle, regardless of whether it is brand new or secondhand, can definitely be one of the most exciting things in your life. For us motorcycle enthusiasts, a bike is so much more than just a means of transportation. The value a motorcycle brings to our lives transcends that of mere utility, and offers unparalleled levels of joy and excitement known only by true motorcyclists.
That being said, you can’t always just go out and buy a new motorcycle at a win. Most of us mere mortals need to take into consideration several things, such as budget, garage space, as well as want to get the best possible deals. All that being said, let’s try to drill down on when exactly is the best time to buy a new motorcycle.
When an irresistible deal pops up

Sometimes, an offer that is simply too good to pass up on just comes your way. This is especially true in the used market, where motorcycles can be bought and sold at the blink of an eye. Sometimes, you could even be very lucky to find a motorcycle being sold for a much lower price than its market value. When deals like this come your way, we highly suggest that you capitalize on them, especially if you have the budget to do so. These days, a lot of lightly used big bikes have popped up in the used market, as restrictions pertaining to the pandemic slowly ease, and people who took up motorcycling as a result of the lockdown are going back to their usual activities.
Rainy season

Another time that’s ideal for purchasing a new motorcycle, V8 used or brand new, would be at the start of the rainy season. This is because a lot of motorcyclists prefer not to ride their bikes in bad weather, and more often than not, entertain the thought of selling their bikes either to upgrade, or move on to a different hobby. Furthermore, if you are lucky, you could even strike up some rainy season deals in your nearby motorcycle dealerships. Typically, the start of the rainy season signifies the end of the riding season for most fair-weather riders. This means that it could be the perfect time for you bargain hunters to capitalize on an irresistible deal.
During the first few months of the year

The first few months of the year tend to be stock-clearing time for many dealerships. This is especially true when new models are released in the global market. Here in the Philippines, we tend to be a few months late compared to our western neighbors, so new models tend to trickle in towards the end of the first quarter or even the second and third quarters of the year. As such, you may want to check with your nearest motorcycle dealership to see if they are offering any special promos on previous year models of motorcycles. Expect to be able to get these bikes at a reasonable discount, especially if you pay in cash.
Whenever the heck you want

If you’re one of the lucky ones who sees money is no object, then by all means, go and buy yourself that shiny, new, top-of-the-line motorcycle anytime you please. Some people change their motorcycles as frequently as they change their clothes, making them some of the luckiest people on the planet. If you want to take things even further, you can even contact your dealer of choice, or of course, send us a DM through our official Facebook page to inquire on limited edition models from high-end manufacturers. After all, there is nothing fancier than a limited-edition, ultra-rare two-wheeler for your collection.
